FAS Prizes to award for Outstanding Research in High Energy Accelerator Science
The purpose of the FAS prizes is to contribute to the development of accelerator science by awarding researchers and engineers who have made particularly outstanding achievements in the following fields of Research related to accelerators, Science utilizing accelerators and Applications of accelerator technologies.

to recognize individuals or a small group of people who have demonstrated outstanding originality and internationally acclaimed achievements in the development of detector technology in the experimental sciences using accelerators.The prize was established in 2003 to dedicate to the memory of Masatoshi Koshiba
to recognize individuals or groups as having made particularly remarkable achievements including long-term support/contribution for the development of accelerator science.The prize was established in 1989 to dedicate to the memory of Shigeki Suwa
to recognize individuals of accelerator related enterprises who made significant contributions to accelerators and accelerator technology through an intense support for research and development or facility construction over the years.The prize was established in 2012 to dedicate to the memory of Hiroo Kumagai.
Each prize consists of ¥300,000, and a certificate citing the contributions made by the recipient. It is presented annually.
